Weightmans secures prestigious top 10 employer status
National law firm Weightmans achieves Top Employer recognition, ranking in the UK's top ten for 2024 for the 17th Consecutive Year
Weightmans, a prominent national law firm, continues to solidify its position as an employer of choice by securing Top 10 Employer status in the UK for the 17th consecutive year. The recognition comes as part of the Top Employers Certification program, an annual initiative by the globally respected Top Employers Institute, highlighting organizations with exceptional people-centric policies and practices.
The institute assesses firms based on a comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey covering six HR domains and 20 individual topics, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity, equity & inclusion, and wellbeing.
Weightmans' inclusion in the top rankings follows a year of remarkable growth, marked by a 22% increase in total revenues. The firm's successful merger with RadcliffesLeBrasseur in 2022 contributed to this growth, enabling the seamless integration of teams and the adoption of new technologies. Additionally, the firm prioritized professional development, with 22 individuals promoted to partner or legal director.
In September 2023, Weightmans further expanded its capabilities by welcoming the Pierre Thomas Law team, specialists in international personal injury claims and the defense of accident claims across Europe. This strategic move added eight new colleagues to the London office, enhancing the firm's cross-border offerings and international reach.
Helen Taylor, Weightmans HR Director, expressed immense pride in the firm's sustained recognition as a top employer, attributing the achievement to ongoing investments in people and processes. Taylor acknowledged the collective effort of Weightmans' dedicated colleagues, emphasizing their support, engagement, hard work, and dedication as crucial elements that make Weightmans an exceptional workplace and enable the firm to inspire both clients and employees alike.
