Employers are being urged to improve support for women experiencing the menopause

The Department for Work and Pensions announced the appointment of the first ever Menopause Employment Champion on 6 March, who will encourage employers to develop menopause related polices in order to better support women experiencing the menopause. The first person to be appointed to the role is Helen Tomlinson, Head of Talent (UK & Ireland) at The Adecco Group. The role will also include raising awareness of the issues surrounding the menopause and work, and the benefits of supporting women to stay in work and progress during the menopause.
