A solicitor who did no more than protect his proprietary rights in relation to the positioning of his wheelie bin has been acquitted after being arrested and charged with harassing and abusing his neighbour. Harley Street doctor Jayshree Pillaye had argued over the positioning of their bins for four years. However, at Willesden Magistrates Court district judge Brennan ruled that Hugh Sorrell, 76, had done nothing more than protect his proprietary rights and had used measured tones in his dealings with Pillaye apart from one incident when he called her 'a bitch'
