Solicitor salary survey
Legal recruiter BCL Legal surveyed the salaries of 600 solicitors from 250 regional and boutique, commercial firms.
Mary Nowell, a manager at BCL Legal, said: 'The commercial market has remained strong in regional and boutique firms around the UK - especially corporate, real estate, and spin off real estate disciplines. This has increased salaries in-line with demand. Our view is that this trend will continue for the remainder of 2015 moving into 2016. NQ salaries have increased across the board as the market responds to a smaller pool of newly qualified lawyers coming onto the external market.'
