Seddons expands family law division with accomplished partner Kate Ryan appointment
London-based law firm Seddons has strengthened its Family team with the recent addition of experienced Partner, Kate Ryan
With nearly two decades of expertise in family law, Kate's arrival marks a significant milestone in Seddons' ongoing commitment to growth and excellence in client service.
Prior to joining Seddons, Kate Ryan served as a Partner at IBB Law for seven years, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a substantial client following to her new role. The appointment aligns with Seddons' strategy to meet increasing client demand, positioning the firm as a key player in family law within the West End.

Kate specialises in divorce and financial settlement agreements, covering a broad spectrum of family law matters. Her expertise extends to issues such as protecting wealth, prenuptial agreements, arrangements for children (including cases with cross-jurisdictional elements), and trust of land act claims related to cohabiting parties. Notably, she also works on cases involving coercive control, an area that earned her a nomination as Family Law Partner of the year by Lexis Nexis in 2020.
Reflecting on her decision to join Seddons, Kate Ryan noted the firm's distinctive openness and energy.
