Riverview Law dips into existing talent pool to award six new training contracts
Fixed-price commercial law brand doubles its investment in staff learning and development
Riverview Law, the fixed-priced legal services business, has awarded six new solicitor training contracts to commence October 2015.
Riverview's solicitor training programme awarded seven members of staff with a two-year training contract in September 2014. The latest cohort takes the total number of wannabe-solicitors at the business - which earlier this year invested in artificial intelligence research - to thirteen.
The trainee scheme is only open to existing staff and specifically to individuals who have been employed by the business for at least six months.
Operations director Katy Robson said the brand was thrilled to build on the success of the scheme. 'Our strong commitment to staff training and development enables us to cultivate existing talent within our business. We wish our new trainees the best of luck as they start their first year,' she added.
Meanwhile, director of legal services, Steven Zdolyny, explained that one of the advantages of recruiting from within the business's existing talent pool was that successful candidates already fit into Riverview Law's business and values.
'We have been very open in saying that we believe that the future leaders of Riverview Law are among those in our business today,' he continued.
'As we continue to win blue chip customers and grow existing contracts, we will continue to recruit, train, and progress talented people within our business. For this reason, we have doubled the amount that we will invest in our learning and development programme in the next financial year.'
The lucky trainees commencing their two-year training contracts this year are Suzanne Betts, Lydia Preece, Mark Rand, Chloe Smith, Sophia Suleman, and Ruth Warburton.
