Ricksons snaps up PI team

By

Ricksons Solicitors has acquired a seven-strong personal injury team from the Manchester and Leeds offices of Whittles Solicitors.

The team, which is advising insurers in relation to the Selby rail crash, will be headed up by partner Glyn Jones and will operate from Ricksons's Manchester and Leeds offices. The team will bring to the firm new clients such as Fortis, Direct Line Group and Groupama, boosting Ricksons's annual turnover by an estimated £1m.

Anthony Hughes, managing partner at Ricksons, said: 'I am extremely pleased to welcome Glyn Jones, Howard Markland, Paul Banks, Colin Mansfield and their teams to Ricksons. This is a major development for the firm '“ it is a stage in the practice's history that will cement our reputation for expertise in insurance litigation as well as making a statement of intent in relation to our future ambitions.'
