REHAB ORDER

By Nicola Laver
A paralegal who had made her way up to salaried partner at legal aid firm David Gray has been struck off after being convicted for fraud last August. Paula Harris, who qualified in 2010, was prosecuted for creating multiple fraudulent documents. HHJ Stubbs said Harris had become overwhelmed by her workload and that she should have been seeking help instead of trying to cover up her weakness. The judge imposed a suspended prison sentence because he said Harris did not financially benefit from the fraud, and ordered a 30- day rehabilitation period. 8 March 2019
