LawWorks has reported a 14 per cent rise in pro bono legal work being delivered by the LawWorks clinics network between April 2017 and March 2018. The period saw almost 60,000 enquiries with specific legal advice being given to 39,937 clients. The 40- page report made clear: 'Pro bono works most effectively when it complements and supports wider legal and advice provision', adding, 'It is not '“ and should not be seen as '“ an alternative to legal aid.'
