Lawyers from multiple continents participated in the Lawyers Polo Tournament in Tuscany, raising 50,000 Euros for charity

Lawyers from the UK, Europe, the US, Canada, Latin America, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East convened last week in Tuscany for the annual Lawyers Polo Tournament, organised by Argentine lawyer Eduardo Bereterbide. Bereterbide, registered in Buenos Aires and New York, also has an international arbitration studio in Paris.

The Tournament began in Buenos Aires in 2008 and has since been hosted in various global locations, including Madrid, Toronto, Dubai, Paris, Sotogrande, Bangkok, and Morocco. Each event engages with local children's charities, such as the Andrea Bocelli Foundation this year, raising 50,000 Euros for children in need.

Aside from its charitable goals, the Tournament offers significant networking opportunities for lawyers. Bereterbide highlights the trust built between players on the field, which extends to business relationships. This year, the team from Austrian firm Kerres Partners won the Tournament, and Maike Holty from Hungeler Muller in Berlin was awarded Best Woman Player.

Bereterbide emphasises the importance of giving back, acknowledging the privilege required to play polo and the community impact made through the Tournament's charitable collaborations.
