A solicitor who asked a client to pay a £900 bill into his personal account, and later failed to account for it to the firm, was found to have acted without integrity and fined £15,000 by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal. Alexander Zivancevic, who qualified in 2005, said he had forgotten about the payment. He had been concerned the client, who was due to resettle to the US a few days later, might leave the country without settling the invoice.
