The pass rate for the Legal Practice Course varied from 100 per cent to 37 per cent in 2016/17, according to the SRA's latest Authorisation and monitoring activity report published last month. The regulator said the rate has remained 'reasonably constant', at 66 per cent of enrolled students, but that there were 'significant differences in the successful completion rates between providers'. Male and female students performed 'equally well' but BAME students were less likely to successfully complete both the CPE and the LPC. Together, BPP and ULaw accounted for 77 per cent of students.
