In a letter to The Telegraph earlier this month, retired Judge Nicholas Webb called for 'politicised topics' such as criminology and diversity law to be pulled from undergraduate law degrees and only studied at post-graduate level. His comments appear to stem from a growing concern that the judiciary has becoming politicised, following the Supreme Court's landmark prorogation ruling in September 2019. Talking to the BBC's Today programme on Radio 4 just after Christmas, outgoing Supreme Court President Baroness Hale refuted the idea that she or her fellow judges were swayed by their political views. 7 January 2020
