The SDT has ruled that: 'Not all mistakes made by solicitors would amount to a breach of the principles,' in a case in which a solicitor was sacked by listed-firm Knights for mistakenly filing a witness statement her client had not signed. Louise Clair Johal, who had admitted negligence, was found not to have 'failed to uphold the rule of law and the administration of justice'. As such, allegations that she had mislead the court were dismissed. 26 October 2020
