Sussex Business Awards recognise Andrew Stenning for his business acumen and commitment to growing business relationships in his industry
Searches UK is thrilled to announce that its managing director, Andrew Stenning, was declared entrepreneur of the year at the Sussex Business Awards on 3 December.
The Sussex Business Awards was a show-stopping event, drawing businesses from across the county to celebrate their triumphs and successes. Among the award winners was Andrew Stenning, who was recognised for his business acumen and commitment to growing thriving business relationships with professionals in his industry.
The awards ceremony took place in Brighton, at the Grand Hotel, with entertainment from magician Matthew McGurk and Paul Sinha from ITV's The Chase. A charity raffle helped raise money for the Argus Appeal, and some of the main sponsors included Checkaprofessional.com, Thomas Eggar, Sussex Chamber of Commerce, and Wealden District Council.
Searches UK was established in 2008 after Stenning encountered several instances of less-than-satisfactory service from other search providers in the market. Stenning comes from a background in the property industry as a former estate agent and practice manager of a local law firm. He successfully overcame the housing market crash in 2008 and in 2009 strategically changed his client base to solicitors and conveyancers when the coalition government scrapped home information packs (HIPs), which accounted for 95 per cent of his business at the time.
