Mackenzie Jones Solicitors thrives after city centre relocation
Mackenzie Jones Solicitors expands and diversifies client base post-relocation
Mackenzie Jones Solicitors, a renowned legal practice with offices in St Asaph, Menai Bridge, and a recently opened base in Grosvenor Street, Chester, is experiencing notable growth and diversification in its clientele following a strategic move to the city centre. The firm's expansion into new commercial sectors has prompted the need for additional staff to meet increased demand.
Director Andrew Foley Jones highlighted the positive impact of the firm's relocation to larger and more central premises in Chester. The move has resulted in an influx of interest and feedback from various industries, particularly those involved in business transactions such as purchasing or selling businesses.
"We've represented major organizations, independent retailers, and hospitality firms looking to expand, and our own growth has aligned with that," said Andrew. The firm, having recently recruited a Wills and Probate lawyer, is now planning to hire a paralegal to further support its growing team.
The diverse client portfolio includes opticians, care homes, holiday parks, and more, with the North West office playing a crucial role in serving these expanding territories. The growth in clientele over the past 12 months has necessitated additional staffing, and Mackenzie Jones Solicitors is gearing up for further administrative support.
Recent high-profile cases handled by the firm include providing legal support to the Jaunty Goat coffee empire, assisting the Livingston family in brokering the multi-million pound sale of Morfa Lodge Holiday Park, and advising traders moving from Chester Market to the £72 million Northgate Project development.
Fellow director Sara Parry, highlighting the company's optimistic outlook, stated, "We have seen more and more walk-ins since the move, and being more prominent in this busy location has put us front and centre in people’s minds." The firm's visibility has extended beyond Chester and North Wales, with increasing inquiries coming in from across the UK.
With a current team of over 30 people, Mackenzie Jones Solicitors anticipates continued growth in 2024. The surge in commercial activity is complemented by increased demand in other areas of the company, including wills and probate and conveyancing, making it an exceptionally busy and promising period for the legal practice.
