LCF law appoints new managing partner
After nearly 30 years, Simon Stell steps down, with Ragan Montgomery taking the helm
LCF Law, a leading law firm in Yorkshire, has announced a significant leadership transition as Simon Stell, the managing partner who has guided the firm for almost three decades, steps down from his role. Ragan Montgomery, a partner and disputes specialist with a long history at the firm, will assume the position of managing partner starting this month.
Simon Stell's tenure at LCF Law spans back to 1995 when the firm was known as Last Cawthra Feather, evolving into LCF Law in 2014. Throughout his leadership, Simon has been instrumental in driving the firm's growth and establishing its reputation as one of Yorkshire's most distinguished law firms. His contributions were acknowledged in 2016 when he was named Yorkshire Lawyer of the Year at the prestigious Yorkshire Legal Awards.
Today, LCF Law boasts a comprehensive suite of corporate and personal legal services, supported by a team of over 135 professionals across its offices in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, and Ilkley.
Despite stepping down from his managerial role, Simon Stell will continue his association with LCF Law, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to Ragan Montgomery and the wider team. His commitment underscores the firm's dedication to achieving its ambitious goals and objectives in the future.
Ragan Montgomery, the newly appointed managing partner, brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Having been with LCF Law since 2003, Ragan has served as the operational head of the Dispute Resolution department, specialising in disputes related to wills, trusts, inheritance, property litigation, and professional negligence claims. Additionally, she is a qualified civil and commercial mediator.
