Kingsley Napley LLP has been reappointed as a panel law firm to The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) following a competitive tender process
The GPhC regulates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises across Great Britain and has powers to investigate and sanction those who fail to meet expected standards in order to protect the public and maintain trust in the profession.
Kingsley Napley has worked with the GPhC since 2019, providing legal support on investigation strategy, drafting allegations, collating evidence, obtaining witness statements and presenting misconduct cases before the independent Fitness to Practise Committee (FtPC). The firm will continue to provide these services for another two years from February 2025.
Melinka Berridge, Head of the Regulatory team at Kingsley Napley, said this is pleasing news as the GPhC is a longstanding and valued client of the firm. They have invested considerably in processes, systems and people to enable them to fulfil the GPhC’s exacting service requirements and they are very pleased the GPhC has recognised their track record and wishes to continue working with them.
Kingsley Napley’s Regulatory team is a recognised leader in professional discipline, acting for both regulators and professionals. The team is also retained by the Teaching Regulation Agency, the Education Workforce Council, the General Dental Council, the General Optical Council and the Architects Registration Board. Additionally, Kingsley Napley advises law firms, accountants, doctors, surveyors and other professionals on regulatory compliance, investigations and enforcement matters involving their respective regulators.
