The committee enables the sharing of best practice with peers; to achieve this, the committee organise a wide-range of activities and services such as workshops, conferences, webinars, seminars, newsletters, a website, and the widely-read PS magazine.
Commenting on her appointment, Elizabeth said: “I am delighted to have joined the Law Society Private Client Solicitors Section advisory committee as Chair, working together with the rest of the committee and the staff at the Law Society who work tirelessly to ensure the best service is provided to the section’s members. It really is a team effort. Our outgoing Chair, Sarah Murphy, was fantastic and we wish her all the best although she will be very missed. I will look forward to us continuing to deliver various industry-leading content throughout the next few years, and to arranging further impactful events such as the annual conference. Being a part of this group of industry experts helps us all, and the section’s members, to continue to be at the forefront of best practice in the private client area. I am passionate about the work of The Law Society and I look forward to seeing what we can do as a committee in the coming years to uphold the excellent standards of practitioners in this field.”
As well as having an already strong presence in the private client space in the North East, Irwin Mitchell has recently agreed a deal to acquire North East based family law firm Silk Family Law, further adding to its offering in the region.
