Human Rights Day

The Law Society has honoured those who defended and upheld human rights and the rule of law in Afghanistan on International Human Rights Day.'¯Society president, I. Stephanie Boyce, offered her “deepest respect to the lawyers, judges, prosecutors and others who dedicated their lives to upholding the rule of law… over the last two decades”. She added: “We continue to do all we can to press the UK government to open viable routes for you to rebuild your lives in safety” and urged the government to open the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme.
