A former Eversheds Sutherland trainee has been issued with a section 43 order and banned from practising as a solicitor after he was convicted of two counts of assault by penetration and two counts of sexual assault contrary to the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and sentenced to eight years in prison. Thomas Hagyard sexually assaulted two women at a party in October 2017. Hagyard was suspended by the firm and then had his training contract terminated in June 2018. Hagyard has been ordered to pay the SRA’s costs of £600.
