FORCE OF HABIT

A consultant solicitor who emailed a client with his personal bank details and a request to pay his fees into that account has been struck off for dishonesty. Gary Ackinclose, who qualified in 2001, said he had provided his own bank details due to a 'force of habit' and that the mistake was due to his being 'massively fatigued' at the time. Ackinclose said when he noticed the payment in his account he 'went into panic mode and went hurtling into the firm' to explain what had happened. 15 March 2019
