DIVERSITY TARGETS

Magic circle firm Linklaters has set a number of 'aspirational' diversity targets, in a bid to improve racial diversity at the firm. It has set a target of 35% ethnic minority trainees in the UK from the 2020/21 recruitment cycle, including 10% black trainees each year. In the firm's US offices the target is higher still, with 50% minority ethnic, of whom 10% should be black. The firm also plans to see 15% of its partnership from black and minority ethnic backgrounds by 2025. 23 October 2020
