All regulated law firms have until 2 July to collect, report and publish data about the diversity make up of their workforce. The SRA encourages firms to use its updated diversity 6-page questionnaire which can be downloaded from its website and includes questions about sexual orientation, education, family background as well as ethnic group and disabilities. Firms are advised not to make assumptions but to encourage their employees to complete the questionnaires themselves. In-house solicitors and those working for non-regulated organisations are not required to comply. 7 May 2019
