Trainee recruitment for the 2020 cohort of the Law Society's diversity access scheme (DAS) has opened. There are 10 trainee places on the DAS which aims to improve social mobility in the profession. The Society said the scheme has helped nearly 250 aspiring solicitors to 'kickstart their legal career' including individuals who have escaped oppressive regimes. Successful applicants have their Legal Practice Course (LPC) costs covered, a professional mentor and work experience. The deadline for applications is 20 April 2020. 17 February
