The firm recently provided legal counsel to funds advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs AG (DBAG) in the successful sale of in-tech, a prominent technology company specialising in software development, testing, and validation

The transaction saw in-tech, headquartered in Garching, Germany, being acquired by Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting.

Established in 2002, in-tech has swiftly emerged as one of the fastest-growing engineering R&D services providers, particularly influencing digitisation across automotive, rail transport, and smart industry sectors. Renowned for its expertise in e-mobility, connected and autonomous driving, electric vehicles, off-road vehicles, and railroad solutions, in-tech boasts a multidisciplinary team of 2,200 professionals distributed across Germany, Austria, China, the UK, the Czech Republic, India, Spain, and Romania.

The completion of this acquisition is contingent upon regulatory approval.

DBAG, a prominent private equity firm listed since 1985, holds a distinguished reputation in the German market. The firm's investment and fund advisory focus primarily targets mid-market companies within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), emphasising entities with substantial growth prospects.

The transaction was facilitated by Dechert's Munich-based team, led by private equity partners Dominik Stühler and Dr. Kai Terstiege. The team also comprised corporate partner Carina Klaes-Staudt, counsel Christian Böhme, and associates Adriana Worms, Dr. Philipp Schöfer, Georg Littmann, Anna Ziegler, alongside antitrust associate Thirith von Döhren.

Dechert's involvement underscores its commitment to facilitating strategic transactions in the technology sector, further solidifying its reputation as a leading legal advisor in complex corporate matters.
