Corrs Chambers Westgarth advises ACEREZ on pioneering renewable energy project

Corrs Chambers Westgarth, a distinguished independent law firm in Australia, has provided crucial advisory support to a consortium comprising ACCIONA, COBRA, and Endeavour Energy (ACEREZ) on a transformative initiative. This project is aimed at establishing the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), with an ambitious target of delivering network capacity of up to 6 GW by 2038.

The ACEREZ consortium has entered a Commitment Deed with the NSW Government, outlining plans for the development, operation, and maintenance of the REZ transmission network over the next 35 years. This extensive endeavor involves the creation of high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs, and essential infrastructure. The project's primary goal is to facilitate the connection of renewable energy generators to the electricity grid on an unprecedented scale, marking a significant stride in supporting the ongoing energy transition.

Partner Airlie Fox led Corrs' advisory team, offering comprehensive guidance to ACEREZ throughout the deal.
