CORLA Optimistic after High Court Emissions Hearing
The decision taken by the High Court will enable a speedy conclusion to the Dieselgate claims
Today saw an unprecedented High Court hearing where legal teams, representing more than one million consumers seeking damages from the manufacturers of diesel vehicles, presented a way forward for the effective case management of the claims. The aim being to keep legal costs down, for both the claimants and the manufacturers, and to expedite the court process as much as possible.
David Greene co-President of CORLA - The Collective Redress Lawyers Association - said after the hearing...
"It is good to see the High Court taking hold of this set of group actions to ensure it moves forward speedily and sensibly. Group claims benefit from good case management and that is what we have seen today on the emission cases."
