CONGESTION CHARGE

Solicitor and director at London-based Black Antelope Law, Shaheen Mamun, has threatened to sue Mayor of London Sadiq Khan over his plans for a covid-19 congestion charge extension. Mamun's firm argued there is too little time for formal consultation. In a letter to Khan's office the firm said the timescale was 'woefully inadequate' to consider the views of those affected. The mayor planned to increase the congestion charge to £15 from 22 June 2020 and extend the hours of operation to 7am to 10pm, seven days a week. 4 June 2020
