Clarke Willmott’s Birmingham office facilitates the sale of two North Wales nursing homes to Vshans Care Ltd

National law firm Clarke Willmott has successfully advised on the sale of Bryn Marl Nursing Home in Llandudno Junction and Coed Isaf Nursing Home in Llanrhos, near Llandudno. The transaction saw these two nursing homes, which together care for around 70 residents, transferred from their long-time owners, John and Margaret Haydon, to London-based Vshans Care Ltd.

Kim Klahn, partner and head of corporate at Clarke Willmott’s Birmingham office, led the advisory team on the sale, supported by associate Aidan Clucas. Klahn, who has extensive experience in the acquisition and disposal of care homes, expressed her satisfaction with the transaction: “It was a pleasure to work on this deal, which involved a collaborative effort from several of our teams and facilitated a smooth exit into retirement for John and Margaret.”

John Haydon praised the team’s efforts, stating, “Working with Kim Klahn and her colleagues at Clarke Willmott made the complex process of selling our homes significantly easier. Their guidance was invaluable.”

The transaction also involved contributions from other Clarke Willmott lawyers: Andrew Stokes (partner, property), Chris Connors (partner, tax), and Bassey Hogan-Itam (lawyer, tax).

The sale highlights Clarke Willmott's strong expertise in the care sector and highlights the firm's ability to manage complex transactions with efficiency and professionalism.
