Senior Associate Owen Fear joins the Clinical Negligence team, bringing expertise garnered from his tenure at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership (NWSSP) - Legal and Risk Services. Owen's vast experience includes handling a diverse, high-value caseload, providing training on legal matters, and representation during the Covid-19 Public Inquiry. He will support Jonathan Fuggle, Partner and Division Lead in the Health Advisory and Litigation Department.
Associate Megan Rogers, previously with Watkins & Gunn Solicitors, contributes her five years' experience in Public Law, specializing in Judicial Review challenges, Special Educational Needs cases, and personal injury litigation. Megan's advice spans across High Court, Court of Appeal, and Supreme Court Judicial Review challenges, while also offering pro-bono services for Cardiff Lawyers Care.
Emmanuelle Loubat, Legal Assistant, joins from Harding Evans LLP, where her focus was on commercial litigation. Her responsibilities included advising a Welsh Commissioner on public sector equality duty and representing a regulator in third-party disclosure orders concerning confidential material. Emmanuelle also gained insights through a secondment at the Gambling Commission.
The Cardiff office, established in June 2023, marks a significant step for Browne Jacobson's expansion strategy, co-founded by partner Tim Edds and Laura Hughes, the firm's Executive Lead for Wales.
