The firm announced the appointment of William Darmody as Partner and Head of the Irish corporate team

At Browne Jacobson, William will play a crucial role in advising high-potential growth companies and innovation-driven enterprises on legal matters related to scaling, fundraising, corporate governance, and exits. His appointment follows a series of new hires as part of the expansion of the Dublin team, necessitating a relocation to a larger office at 2 Hume Street, Dublin.

Before joining Browne Jacobson, William Darmody spent over eight years at the international law firm Maples Group, earning recognition as a key lawyer in The Legal 500 EMEA. With a strong reputation for commercial awareness and a solution-driven approach, William has been involved in numerous significant equity financings and M&A transactions across diverse sectors, including technology, life sciences, retail, education, manufacturing, and aviation.

Browne Jacobson Ireland Co-Founder, Ciarán Markey, expressed excitement about William's appointment, highlighting the firm's substantial growth over the past 18 months. William's team is expected to contribute to servicing international and domestic clients operating in and through Ireland across various sectors.
