Closing hearings will commence this month on the UK’s largest ever public inquiry, the Infected Blood Inquiry. Steven Snowden KC (instructed by Collins Solicitors) will present closing submissions on behalf of most of those infected and affected from 10am on 17 January. Snowden also represents the campaign organisations Factor 8 and the Fatherless Generation. Eleanor Grey KC, representing the Department of Health, will put forward the government position on 18 January. The government has already accepted that those impacted must be compensated.
