September 28, 2023 – International law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner (BCLP) announced today the appointment of Segun Osuntokun as Global Senior Partner. The role is designed to complement and support BCLP’s new Global CEO, Steve Baumer, with both roles effective Jan. 1.

Segun Osuntokun, currently the UK Managing Partner, brings three decades of experience into this newly created role, which span a number of leadership positions at the firm. He also heads BCLP’s Civil Fraud Litigation Practice and BCLP’s Africa Group, where he is ranked by Chambers as a leading litigator and has been named for four consecutive years to the UK Powerlist, which recognizes and celebrates Britain’s most influential Black people.

“Segun is well-known and widely respected as a leader, partner, and colleague--one who embodies the best of BCLP,” said BCLP Co-Chairs Lisa Mayhew and Steve Baumer. “Segun understands what’s necessary to help the firm reach the next level, and it’s an honor to welcome him into the role of Global Senior Partner.”

Under the direction of incoming Global CEO Steve Baumer, BCLP will enter 2024 with an experienced, diverse, and geographically balanced leadership team in place and focused on unlocking the next stage of the firm’s growth and leading its global platform into the future.
