Bar Council publishes report on Life at the Employed Bar
Action plan of improvements launched
The Bar Council has published a report, entitled ‘Life at the Employed Bar,’ which sets out its findings following the assessment of data on the demographics and working lives of barristers employed in England and Wales. The report details the key findings and related recommendations for improvements, which includes: better data collection; greater visibility; tackling bullying and harassment; supporting career progression; creating communities of employed barristers; and increasing judicial appointments.
