'ANDERSONS SOLICITORS' SCAM

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has issued a warning about assured shorthold tenancy agreements prepared in the name of 'Andersons Solicitors' using a logo that includes 'excellence through experience'. They have not been produced by a genuine firm of the same name in Harrogate or a Nottingham firm of that name which closed in 2013. The SRA said due diligence is necessary by checking the authenticity of law firms through public records or contacting the SRA or the firm itself if solicitors receive documents from solicitors purporting to be this firm. 16 July 2019
