Philippe Kuhn

Barrister, 39 Essex Chambers

I am a barrister at 39 Essex Chambers in London (Call: 2017). I have an international practice specialising in cross-border commercial and construction disputes. I was previously a judicial assistant at the UK Supreme Court. My main practice interest is in international commercial disputes in the Commercial Court, Chancery Division, international arbitration and offshore jurisdictions (including Gibraltar). In particular, civil fraud, banking & financial services, energy, jurisdiction, construction, insolvency, company and insurance disputes. Notable current and recent instructions are from clients in Singapore, India, Ukraine, Moldova, China, the UK and across continental Europe. I have substantial experience in arbitration and award enforcement proceedings concerning the application of the ICC, LCIA, SCC and HKIAC rules. I have been appointed as tribunal secretary, including under the ICC Rules.
