Des Collins, senior partner of Collins Solicitors, adviser to over 1500 victims of the infected blood scandal, has commented on Paymaster General Jeremy Quin’s statement regarding compensation. "For the first time we learned that the Government accepts the moral case for compensating those affected by the infected blood scandal”. He said he hoped this would mean the government will “do the right thing morally” and pay compensation to parents, orphans and others who have lost loved ones. Collins added: “… as we near the end of 2022, the moral battle has finally been won".
