Lupicinio, a six-partner, 37-lawyer, full-service firm with offices in Madrid, Barcelona and Valladolid, has an established reputation in corporate, M&A, energy and utilities, tax, IP, and media. The association forms an important part of Eversheds’s strategy to develop an international capability.

Alan Jenkins, head of international at Eversheds, said: “Not only does Spain have the fifth largest economy in Europe but it also has the quickest rate of growth of any major European economy. It is also clear that the volume of Spanish business our clients are involved in is steadily increasing. For these reasons we are delighted to welcome Lupicinio, a firm of quality and reputation. We look forward to developing the services we provide to mutual clients in conjunction with all our offices.”

In 2003, Eversheds merged with its associated office in Copenhagen, opened an office in Shanghai with associated firm Khattar Wong, entered into an agreement of co-operation with Al-Jufairi in Qatar, and expanded in Italy with Piergrossi Villa Bianchini Riccardi.
