Manchester based Donns Solicitors is the first Manchester firm to complete a pre-recruitment legal programme that gives youngsters the opportunity to train with the firm and potentially win a permanent place as a junior.

Following the four-week training programme, Rosanna Condon (15), Sarah Farrell (16), Emma Carroll (16), Catherine Hough (15) and Jonathon Atkinson (16) were rewarded for their exceptional performance with permanent positions.

Over 40 teenagers were interviewed to take part in this programme and Donns selected ten individuals to take part. Managing partner, Hilary Meredith said: “It is encouraging for Donns to receive such a high level of applicants interested in taking up a career in law at such a young age. This programme enables youngsters interested in a future in the legal profession to gain valuable insight into how it all works and to find out more about their chosen career.”
