Collyer Bristow’s takes over Kanaar & Co

Collyer Bristow has swallowed music and entertainment
practice Kanaar & Co, and has announced the appointment of its first chief
executive, in the space of a week.

Nicholas
Kanaar joins the firm's music and entertainment group, along with his assistant
and three non-fee-earners. He said he was moving to offer a better service to
his clients, which include rock band Status Quo and dance act Chicane. Paisner
& Co's private client partner, Daniel Simon, is also moving to Collyer
Bristow, together with all his clients, including the Natural History Museum.
Jonathan Fox, formerly DLA's client relationship manager, has been recruited as
the chief executive to enhance Collyer Bristow's "personal touch”. Fox said he
aims to make Collyer Bristow a more intimate firm.
