Leading legal IT solutions provider,
Axxia Systems, has announced details of a significant restructuring and
expansion of its sales department. The changes have been driven by the company’s
desire to increase account management resources and the quality of client
relationships in response to their growing user base and ambitious UK and
international expansion.

The re-engineering revolves around the management team and the sales
territories. The latter have been increased so that each account manager has
fewer clients, facilitating more proactive and responsive servicing and better
understanding of client needs. The sales and marketing management team,
meanwhile, has been strengthened with the creation of three new
positions.

The
key appointment is that of Derek Gee, who joins as Axxia’s first sales
development manager. This perhaps unusual but senior role (number two to the
sales and marketing director, Bill Kirby) is designed to bring a clear focus to
areas considered vital for future success, such as recruitment, induction,
training, processes, systems and skills development.

Mr Gee, who has twenty-five years of
IT sales experience, will work closely with two new regional sales managers; the
dedicated nature of his role will help maximise managers’ time “at the coal
face”, supporting sales personnel and concentrating on client requirements.
Derek joins from software distribution company WickHill, where he was European
sales Manager.
