Chris Hill has joined Reed Smith Warner Cranston's
Coventry office
to head the corporate team. His arrival is part of a move to
expand the corporate commercial profile of the Coventry office
which has
lagged behind the London office
both in turnover and profile. Hill was an
equity partner and head of the company commercial department in the Northampton
office of Shoosmiths.

Slaughter and May has elected Tim Clark as its new
senior partner. Senior corporate partner Clark is taking over the position from
Giles Henderson who will step down after eight years in the post.

Rowe & Maw has hired ex-Ashurst Morris Crisp partner Charles
Leach
to join its property department. Leach left Ashursts last summer
after 13 years.

Lovells has appointed the first Chinese managing partner to
its Hong Kong office. Allan Leung is taking over the post from Roddy McKean
who has relocated to London to act on a corporate deal.

Clifford Chance litigation partner David Mayhew is
quitting to take up one of the Financial Services Authority's (FSA) most senior
in-house legal roles.

Tite & Lewis is taking on a second finance partner from
US firm LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae. Asset finance partner Paul Flood
specialises in transport sector deals
which will fit well with Tite & Lewis's
client base of airlines.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has announced a new addition
to its Amsterdam office. Jeroen Thijssen
a leading Dutch finance
lawyer
will be a great asset as part of the overall finance practice. Thijssen
has been a partner at Nauta Dutilh since 1985
and has a strong banking and
finance practice as well as substantial experience of corporate and securities
transactions.

Rosenblatt Solicitors has to announced that Emma Kane

chief executive of the City law firm's in-house media and investor relations
agency
has been appointed a non-executive director of ProShare. ProShare is
the body set up in 1992 by the London Stock Exchange
the Government and
industry
primarily to promote share ownership.

Owen Jonathan has recently been appointed a partner
of PwC and takes up the post of UK general counsel. Based in London
Owen will head up the team of 42 lawyers and
professional staff.

International law firm Denton Wilde Sapte has announced that
Nigel Weiss
Dominic Spacie and Francis Sergejew's arrival
from Mayer
Brown & Platt. Nigel
will be joining the asset finance team
as a partner
Francis will join the asset finance team as a Senior Solicitor
while Spacie will join the project finance/PFI team
also as a partner.
