Janet Paraskeva will take up the new
role of chief executive of the Law Society next month, earning £120,000 a
year.

She comes
to the society from the National Lottery Charities Board, where she is a
director.

Paraskeva, 54, has said she intends to restore credibility to the Law
Society as a regulator and representative of the 80,000-member body in England
and Wales.
