The
employment practice of Italian law firm Negri-Clementi Toffoletto Montironi
& Soci (NCTM) has demerged from the rest of the firm to pursue its role in
European employment law alliance Ius Laboris.

NCTM
was formed 18 months ago when Negri-Clementi Montironi e Soci merged with
Toffoletto. Employment partner Franco Toffoletto, who is leading the breakaway
employment team, said his practice needs to operate as a niche firm in order to
meet client demand for specialised services and expertise in European
legislation. The alliance, lus Laboris, was launched in January this year to
undertake joint marketing and training initiatives and joint presentations to
clients, as well as client referrals. It has nine members.
